「親愛的法蘭基」(Dear Frankie) 以一個單親家庭的故事作為藍本，而這類電影題材的角色亦往往離不開一個單親，是父或母一方和親生的兒女，故事往往偏重作為單親一方所面對的生活壓力及當兒女對完美家庭的憧憬，萬變不離其宗。然而導演Shona Auerbach卻在這些主題基本元素與及人有惻隱之心這本質的基礎上，對一些細節作出調整，以家庭中成員性別的對調和變動，不再固守停留在慣性單親家庭故事發展的背景與脈絡，營造出笑中有淚的故事氛圍，令觀眾意想不到。（…閱讀全文）
